David Sutton

David Sutton, Chairman - The Abbey Group

David is the Chairman and founder of Abbey. David started up Abbey Produce in 1981 and has become a renowned Entrepreneur growing and diversifying the business into many different trading and investment sectors. In 1997 David received recognition for this work when winning the Peterborough Business Man of the year award.


Nicholas Sutton

Nicholas Sutton MRICS, Managing Director - The Abbey Group

Nick joined Abbey in 2005 following six years in Cambridge with Savills Commercial Team. Nick qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 2003 and specialises in property investment and development and renewable energy development. Nick, along with Carl run the Group and oversee all subsidiary Business activities as well as being responsible for continuing the growth of all business sectors.


Carl Sutton

Carl Sutton MRICS, Managing Director - The Abbey Group

Carl joined Abbey in 2009 following 10 years banking in London, firstly with Ansbacher before completing a management buyout and forming Mitre Capital Partners. Before banking Carl became a Chartered Quantity Surveyor working for Currie and Brown, also in London. Along with Nick, Carl is responsible for running the Group and overseeing subsidiary Business activities and continuing to move the Company forward.


Duncan Negus

Duncan Negus, Director - Abbey Produce

Duncan has been a Director of Abbey Produce since 1981 and runs all the day to trading activities in the Company. Over the years Duncan has grown the reputation of Abbey Produce to become one of the leading Potato Merchants in the East region.


Mike Darrington

Mike Darrington - Abbey Produce

Mike has worked alongside Duncan for over 15 years and is responsible for dealing direct with the land owners and growers to source potato's. During this time Mike has formed an excellent relationship with both the Growers and the customers of Abbey Produce.


Randal Edwards

Randal Edwards, Director - Abbey Logistics

Randal is a Co-Director of Abbey Logistics. After graduating from UWIST, Cardiff in 1988 with a degree in International Transport, he has spent over 20 years within the European haulage market, specialising in High Volume road trains, working first for Westermann UK Ltd in Basildon and subsequently Murfitts / Norfolkline in Peterborough.


Chris Wick

Chris Wick, Director - Abbey Logistics

Chris is a Co-Director of Abbey Logistics. A National & International CPC Holder with over twenty five years experience operating both own fleet and contracted third party transport. This experience has been obtained whilst working in both the Primary (Manufacturing) & Secondary (Third Party) sectors. Companies include Eternit Tac - Calberson - Westermann - Murfitts / Norfolkline.


Tracey Salisbury

Tracey Salisbury, Property Management & Administration - The Abbey Group

Tracey joined Abbey in 1981 and was the first employee to be taken on after the company was formed. Tracey is involved in all sectors of the business working closely with Nick and Carl on all day to day activities. As well as this work Tracey is responsible for managing the majority of the Group's property portfolio.


Hugh Bennett

Hugh Bennett, Financial Controller - The Abbey Group

Hugh joined Abbey in 2008 after working in various positions within the Finance department at Anglia Co-op for 38 years and at the time of leaving held the post of Taxation Manager. Hugh is responsible for all financial reporting and looking after the finances of the many different projects.
